Welcome to my teacher website. Here you will find information about what is happening in my class(es). I will be using the Announcement area for posting information about upcoming events or special projects in my classroom. The Featured Links will direct you to other places on the web that students in my classroom are encouraged to visit and participate. There are links to each of my classes as well as teams and activities that I am involved with. All of the notes and assignments for my classes can be acessed through this web page.

I have a B.A from the Univeristy of Calgary in Political Science and History and a B.Ed from the University of Manitoba. I have a true passion for teaching history, politics and current events and emphasize citizenship, inquiry based learning and developing critical thinking skills in my classes. I am a big advocate of bringing history to life for students and have organized four History based trips to Europe for Miles Macdonell students including the upcoming Vimy 100 trip.  I also love sports- especially hockey, football, and golf and enjoy coaching the Cross Country and Indoor and Outdoor Track teams and managing the Girls Hockey team. Additionally I am the co-chair of the MMC Education for Sustainable Development committee and work with the MMC student group in this area.
