A bit about me, I have been teaching at KEC for 5 + years in the Vocational Food Services area of Pastry and Culinary Arts. I come from the industry with many years of job experience in the field, and Red Seal Certified in the trade of Chef and Baker. I will be able to teach you all about the in's and outs of cooking and baking through guided hands on experience in the labs. These courses are fun and fasted paced, and will help you to learn the essential job skills needed to obtain future empolyment in these areas. There is a classroom theory component which will include daily assignments, powerpoints, demonstrations and videos. The hands on lab component will comprise of completing various recipes, tasks, orders, and daily food service for the cafeteria. Every day is different with the chance to learn something new and to be creative!
