'If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants.' - Isaac Newton
Welcome to Physics! Physics is the most fundamental of the experimental sciences, as it seeks to explain the universe itself from the very smallest particles—currently accepted as quarks, leptons, and neutrinos, which may be truly fundamental—to the vast distances between galaxies. We begin with measurement and classical physics by studying Newtonian mechanics and electromagnetism. As the courses progress, we begin to study modern physics wave-particle duality, nuclear reactions, quantum mechanics, and relativity.
'All this is a dream. Still examine it by a few experiments. Nothing is too wonderful to be true, if it be consistent with the laws of nature; and in such things as these experiments is the best test of such consistency.' - Michael Faraday
'Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him and calls the adventure Science.' - Edwin Hubble
