(Kindergarten - Grade 6)
As the Resource Teacher for students in Kindergarten through Grade 6, my goal is to provide academic and behavioural support to a wide variety of individuals. In collaboration with teaching and clinical staff, I am involved in developing programming, coordinating services, and providing direct assistance to our elementary students. In doing so, I work closely with teachers, other professionals and families to help all members of our school realize their potential and enjoy their learning experiences to the fullest.
I have previously graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Manitoba in 2006. I then completed a Bachelor of Education in Early Years Teaching from the University of Manitoba in 2010 along with a Certificate to Teach English as a Second Language (CTESL). I will graduate with a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Education with a Teaching Certificate in Special Education in January 2016.
This year, I look forward to partner coaching our Grade 6 Basketball team, continuing to run our daily Breakfast Club, and supporting our Early Years team as a coordinator.
